Welcome to the Courts of New Zealand Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre is designed to provide information to those planning to visit courts in New Zealand and information for students studying the New Zealand courts.

Locate a court

Supreme Court

The Supreme Court is located in Wellington New Zealand. Online visitor information : Supreme Court building, visiting the Supreme Court of New Zealand and Supreme Court Publications

Court of Appeal

The Court of Appeal is located in Wellington but also sits regularly in Auckland and Christchurch. Specific information Court of Appeal

High Court

Links to High Court addresses and specific information on the High Court

District Courts

Links to information about the District Court available on the District Courts website.


The Ministry of Justice has a Court finder information page available on its website.

 

Opening hours

Court hours are usually 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Note opening hours may vary between courts so if you are visiting a specific court please check opening hours by phoning the Court - Contact a Court
