Explanatory NotesExplanatory Notes about the Judicial Decisions of Public InterestDecisions published on this site are generally made available within a day of being delivered by the court. However, in some instances decisions will be made available at the same time as they are delivered, as directed by the judge. Decisions on this site will in general be restricted to criminal sentences and judgments in which there may be public interest. Decisions will be maintained on the site for 28 days, but applications for a copy of the decision may be made thereafter to the court registry where the decision was issued. The purpose is to enable decisions of public interest to be made available as soon as possible. The site is not an official site for publication of judgments. Judgments placed on it remain subject to editorial correction. They are advance copies. A site for the publication of judgments is now available on the Ministry of Justice website - Judicial Decisions Online It is the responsibility of users of the information contained in these decisions to ensure compliance with conditions or other legal obligations governing access, release, storage and re-publication.
