Chief Justice's 2025 Annual Report

Chief Justice Helen Winkelmann has today released her 2025 Annual Report. The report provides information about judges, about the role and responsibilities of the judicial branch of government, and about the work of the courts in 2025.

 The report provides updates on initiatives and responses that represent some of the priorities for judicial leadership in 2025. It outlines work programmes that support the efficient and effective administration of justice, and provides information about how the judiciary organises itself and how the Ministry of Justice and the judiciary work together to operate the courts.

 The report is intended to support public understanding of our courts and to enable public scrutiny of how they are administered.
